WITH RUGS UNFURLED

A short documentary on the ecosystem of traditional rug making in northern Morocco, based on the researches of anthropologist George Bajalia. From the mounting of the handspun wool on the loom to the haggling over rugs in a high-end bazaar, the film shows the long road Moroccan rugs take from the weaver to the dealer and maps all the social relations induced by this craft.
