RITMOS NEGROS DEL PERÚ
A self-produced documentary on the role of music in the construction of Afro-Peruvian identity. Guided by the work of ethnomusicologist Florent Wattelier, we set out to meet the great contemporary figures of this little-known South American community. Exploring the repertoire and instruments that are typical of this music opens up a profound reflection on identity, intangible heritage and artistic renewal. The one-hour film is available as a webdoc.
